Patriot’s Point is a haven of American history, located on the shores of Charleston Harbor in Mount Pleasant.  The hands on historical museum harbors many fascinating relics that people come to see from around the world.

The USS Yorktown is one of the main attractions at Patriot’s Point. The aircraft carrier from World War II, also known as the “Fighting Lady”, was a key component to American success during the war.

Patriot’s Point is also home to a large fleet of ships that contributed to the World War II effort: the USS Laffey, USS Clamagore, and USCG Ingham.

A series of warplanes spatters the upper tiers of Patriot’s Point, and a Vietnam Naval Support base camp features various crafts that were used battling the dangers of the Vietnam War. The River Patrol Boat, Huey helicopters, and the Sea Cobra attack helicopter are only examples of the diverse selection Patriot’s Point has to offer.

A full sized replica of Benjamin Franklin’s Class Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine stands as a commanding memorial to the Cold War effort.

Patriot’s Point is a Charleston attraction that commemorates the historically rich city and allows visitors to learn about the vessels used in wars throughout time.
